For Lyna Lankylegs, mischief is easy—staying out of trouble is not.

Lyna Lankylegs and the Bright Hill Gang are back for more tree-climbing adventures, fun games and forbidden treats. But when Lyna’s mother insists she spend more time with perfect Jane and her dog, everything goes wrong. Now it’s up to the Bright Hill Gang to save the day and prove who Lyna’s true friends really are.

Doggy Drama is the second instalment in the Lankylegs series, inspired by author Linda Locke’s own childhood in 1950s Singapore.

  • Linda Locke is a children's book author. Agnes and Her Amazing Orchid was her first picture book followed by the Jack Is Curious series, which now has six titles. The Boy Who Talked All Day is her first foray into the world of rhyme. Her Lyna Lankylegs series, inspired by her own childhood in 1950s Singapore, follows Lyna Lankylegs and her ragtag gang of boys, the Bright Hill Gang, as they traverse around their beloved estate and beyond, getting up to all sorts of trouble along the way—from chasing crazy catfish to facing off spitting cobras in the jungle.

She was previously chief executive and creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, and chairman and regional creative director of Leo Burnett Advertising, and has more than 300 creative awards to her name. Linda later started her own consultancy, Godmother Pte Ltd, and held several key positions at Club21, a luxury fashion distributor. She now serves as a board director at Culina Pte Ltd.
